Ayurveda Mama Journey:

It's a journey supporting you in the process of becoming a mother - from navigating pregnancy challenges and imbalances, to supporting you in gracefully transitioning through big life changes. We will dive into limiting beliefs, patterns, desires, fears, and Ayurveda’s approach to total wellness for your baby and you. This is for mamas preparing to conceive and pregnant mamas in any trimester of pregnancy.

My three package session generally is as follows, though also is organic and “living” - so to speak - so as we journey, we always address what arises and what feels most important to you.

 

First session will be an Ayurvedic consultation with you to address your general health and any imbalances - to support you in the process of conception and/or a thriving pregnancy and postpartum. Ayurveda is a holistic science that views the health of the whole field (your job, your relationship, your body, your LIFE) as all important components of a thriving life - so we will explore the subtleties of these to have an overview of where to support you most. You will leave this first session with practical practices to apply immediately, as well as deeper insights to explore within yourself

 

Next would be with you and your partner to address any questions or fears that arise as you step into this new season of your life. If your partner has any imbalances he’d like to address in his own body/mind - we can talk about it here.

 

Third would be a follow up session with either just you or both of you to check in on diet/lifestyle imbalances, course correct - and to support you in anything else that has arisen since our first two sessions.

This package includes Ayurveda Mama Training, a four week (8 session) training focused on nourishing mama and babe throughout pregnancy and postpartum in all of the deep and important ways.​​​​​​​​​​​

Dhyana was born to a family of Bhakti Yoga practitioners, with the practices and teachings of Ayurveda weaved seamlessly throughout her life. Growing up around her father’s retreat center, she was trained in all of the healing modalities that he offers, and witnessed, first hand, the profound healing that happens when the principles of Ayurveda are applied in one’s daily life.

She received her degree in Yoga & Psychology at Naropa University, and in 2011, along with her sister and father, founded YogaVeda; the Yoga Alliance certified school for uniting the philosophy, lifestyle, and sciences of Yoga & Ayurveda.  

​

She is the author of Ayurveda Mama and an Ayurveda Health Counselor and educator, specialized in guiding groups and individuals on transformative and healing journeys. Through her Yoga and Ayurveda trainings, she empowers countless individuals to become healers in their own homes and to live a life of real meaning.

Ayurveda Consultation

Ayurveda acknowledges that in order to have perfect health, we have to take into account wellness of the mind, body, senses and soul. Rather than a disjointed system, Ayurveda approaches the whole person, YOU, as an individual, maintaining health in the areas where you are healthy, and restoring balance where there is dis-ease. Together, we will create a path of gentle healing and balance for the body, mind and consciousness. During a typical evaluation, we take a complete medical and lifestyle history and perform a physical evaluation as well as pulse diagnostic that looks at the body both as a physical system as well as a field of intelligence — reflecting the needs and choices of your life. After discussing your wellness goals, as well as any mental, physiological, emotional or spiritual imbalances, you will receive a personalized and easy to follow life-style and diet plan to implement into your life immediately.

​Premabreathwork

 

In western psychology, as well as the deeper vedic teachings, we can understand that all of our unprocessed past experiences; our traumas, pain, heartbreaks, and joys… every single thought, memory, emotion… everything!, is stored somewhere within the body. If we don’t unpack these stored memories, then we move forward in our life deeply conditioned and effected by the past.

​

Breath and Consciousness are intimately interwoven.


As we breathe more deeply into our bodies, we are inviting awareness into parts of ourselves (or our past) that have long been stored away. As we bring awareness to the areas that have been hidden, our bodies innate healing abilities kick in; we release what has been holding us back, and we step closer into our full potential.


The process itself uses very simple means: with the eyes closed and lying on a mat, using your own breath with this technique along with the music in the room to enter a non-ordinary state of consciousness. This state activates the natural inner healing process of the individual’s psyche, bringing him or her a particular set of internal experiences. With the inner healing intelligence guiding the process, the quality and content brought forth is unique to each person and for that particular time and place. While recurring themes are common, no two sessions are ever alike.

Many practitioners feel this breath work provides a direct, replicable, physical experience of Divine Love through the saturation of the body with prana.
