Hello hello radiant beings! Dhyana I was wondering what you use as far as sun protection, if any. I don’t like the feeling of most sunscreens and I do like getting as much color as possible. I’m not opposed to anything oily, as I use coconut a lot, I’ve found it does have some UV protection. Thank you all for this beautiful space and forum to connect!!

Ayla, Thank you for the great question. Our relationship with the sun is so important, so I am glad you are bringing this up! I passed it along to Dhyana as she's traveling and she'll post back asap from Ayurveda and essential oils perspective.
According to Ayurveda, morning sun (6-10A) & afternoon sun (2-6P) are recharging for your body. Mid day sun (10-2P) is more draining for the system. The closer the sun is to the horizon the more gently it charges the body and the higher into the horizon it goes it becomes more draining. The time frames above are general as well and change with the seasons, so keep in mind the principle of taking sun as its closer to the horizon and being conscious not to get too much sun as it goes higher into the sky when Pitta Dosha is also at its peek.

Hi Ayla! We don’t use a lot of sunscreen, though we have a mineral sunscreen by Sky Organics for our son that has amazing ingredients!! If I were to use some, it would definitely be that one <3
